Formed in 1990 our Association has over 200 members drawn from the Lichfield, Tamworth, Burton upon Trent and surrounding areas

We organise a range of activities throughout the year and details can be found under the various headings of our website.

The Association raises around £3000 per year for specific projects at properties throughout the Midlands.

From our 2023 account we have made the following donations:-

Shugborough Estate

£1,200 for meadow seed in two acres in the new orchard within the walled garden.

Kedleston Hall

£300 to purchase a large wheelbarrow to help transport various equipment,

Calke Abbey

£1000 to purchase additional seating within the house itself.

Baddesley Clinton

£600 to purchase around 5000 snowdrop bulbs for planting in the nature walk area.

Hardwick Hall

£200 to purchase timber to repair or replace benches in Hardwick Parkland and £200 to decorate a community room used for various local schools and community activities.

During 2023 we enjoyed car visits to Tong Church, Claymills Pumping Station, Clawson Old Manor and Middleton Hall and our monthly short and long walks continue throughout 2024.

A full programme of both coach and car visits have been arranged for 2024 and our winter programme of talks re-commenced in September 2023.

We continue to update the website to keep members informed of changes to the situation and through our Newsletter distributed to all Association Members four times a year.
